PART ONE:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR KARA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!". They all came bursting through my door singing and there was a cake in mom's hand.
It was my mom, dad, little sister, older brother, and dog. When I looked at the time it was exactly twelve in the morning on Saturday, June 14. I barely fell asleep at ten, and then this happened. I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness that I couldn't be upset. So after the song, my little sister and older brother joined me on my bed, as my mom told me, "Blow out the candles and make a wish". I responded with, "I don't need to make a wish, I have everything and everyone I need", to which my family smiled with warmness. I love hugs so after I blew out the candles my whole family came in for a group hug. We all just sat of my bed in a group hug status, so I said, "We can't stay here hugging forever", so my family detangled from me and they left my room. As soon as they left, I heard a buzz come from my phone, and there were two messages from two very important people in my life. My best friend, Sky, and my boyfriend, Hunter. Both messages said something along the lines of, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I LOVE YOU, NOW GO BACK TO SLEEP, XOXO". Those messages just made my heart flutter, and they made me realize that I really loved my life. So I did as I was told, I went back to sleep.
I woke up to find it was nine eleven o'clock. So I got up, took my phone and leaned against my backboard on my bed, and check my phone. My phone was blowing up with messages from my best friends about our Saturday brunch plans. Since I woke up pretty late, I had less than thirty minutes to get ready before my friends got to my house. I began blasting my Disney music to get me in the mood. I danced my way to my bathroom to brush my teeth. While I was brushing my teeth, I twirled my way to my closet to pick out a birthday outfit. I was humming along with the music when I saw a box wrapped up with a bow sitting on my closet floor. I ran to the bathroom to finish brushing my teeth, and ran back to my closet in less than a heartbeat. I knelt down to the box, and opened it. It was a gorgeous red, and maroon ombre dress that had a thigh high slit, with black lace covering the back. Under the dress was a letter, I opened the letter and read, "GOOD MORNING PRINCESS, THIS DRESS IS LITTLE GIFT FROM THE WHOLE FAMILY. WE ALL PITCHED IN TO GETTING IT. WE HOPE YOU HAVE AN AMAZING 18th BIRTHDAY, BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT. YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL, AND KIND, AND AN AWESOME DAUGHTER, ALONGSIDE BEING AN AWESOME SISTER. THERE IS ONE RULE THAT COMES WITH THE DRESS, YOU CAN NOT WEAR IT UNTIL TONIGHT". After I read the letter I began tearing up to the words written, this letter was just one more piece of proof that my family is amazing. Right when I got up and put the box on my bed, my phone began buzzing constantly. I picked up my phone and it was Sky, she was spamming me with messages stating, "BE READY IN ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES, I HAVE TO GO PICK UP KAT AND VERA". After I read the messages I ran to my bathroom, undressed myself and jumped into the shower. I was singing with the head of shower to my Disney music, and I was having a blast. About seven minutes passed and I jumped out of the shower. I began brushing my hair, and then I put the best smelling lotion on my body. It was the Japanese Cherry Blossom Lotion, and I loved it. After that, I went back to my closet to find an outfit for my brunch date. I stood looking at my closet for like four minutes trying to find something. Finally in the fifth minute, I decided to wear my favorite blue ripped jeans, with a really cute off shoulder hanging grey blouse covered with white lace flowers. I went back into my bathroom to check out my outfit, and my hair returned to it natural form of being curly. Once I was done messing with my hair, it was left the way I started- down. I grabbed my phone, and threw my wallet, keys, and other unnecessary items in my beige purse. I then grabbed my black heels, and ran downstairs.When I got downstairs I found my mom and dad watching t.v., and my older brother making himself a sandwich in the kitchen. As soon as they spotted me, in a funny, nice voice my dad said, "AWE LOOK WHO LOOKING ALL PRETTY ON THEIR SPECIAL DAY", and I laughed, alongside my brother and mom. I told them I was going out to brunch with my friends and they told me to have fun and be back before seven pm, to which I told them, "OKAY". I began saying my goodbye's to my family and asked where my little sister, Liv was. My older brother, Dre replied, "She's outside in the driveway playing basketball with Kevin (her best friend, and our next door neighbor). It was then eleven forty-five, and I ran to the door and put my shoes on. I opened the door and stepped outside and as I turned away a gust of wind blew my hair all in my face. I began laughing loudly, and I walked towards the driveway to say goodbye to my sister. As I walked towards her, she noticed me and paused her game with Kevin. They both looked at me and showered me with compliments about how nice I looked, and in return I thanked them, gave them both hugs, and kissed my sister cheek. I told Liv, " Hey, I'll be back later today, okay? Don't give Kevin a hard time, you little cookie monster, he just likes you", and then Sky arrived with the rest of the girls. When I finished talking with Liv, I headed over to her car. As I was walking over to the car, Sky, Kat, and Vera rolled down their windows and began yelling "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARA!!!". They were so loud I had to tell them to lower their voices before my neighbors start complaining, so they did as I asked. Once I got into the car, I thanked them for my birthday wishes, and Sky handed me a tiara that said, "BIRTHDAY GIRL", and Kat handed me a sash that said, "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!" and Vera gave me some blue, white, and pink balloons. Sky began driving, and I turned to all of the girls to tell them how pretty they look and to thank them for the gifts. Sky ended up taking us to a new place called, "Silver Status". Before I got out of the car I did a little research on the place, and realized the place had great reviews based on their food, and employee's. I also noticed that is was crazy expensive. Before Sky got out of the car I told her, "Sky, this place is crazy expensive, and I'm not a millionaire" to which she replied, "Kara relax I got it, and after all my girl deserves the best for her birthday". I then gave Kat and Vera a confused look, and then Kat said," Kara, she said she got it, you know how filthy rich she is, let her do what she wants" and Vera added on," You worry too much about everything. Today should be the day you unwind, and have the best time you can with who you're with". I replied to both Kat and Vera with, "Then I'm glad to be here spending it with you three". We all then got out of the car, and headed inside the restaurant. As soon as we entered, a really cute waiter showed us the way to our table. As the rest of us had significant others', we hinted to Kat how handsome our waiter was, and how she should talk to him. She then replied to us, "He could easily have a girlfriend, or be gay, or he could be a serial killer". Sky then told her," Okay don't be so dramatic, you'll never know unless you go for it". We then began exclaiming a little loud how Kat should go for it, and we saw our handsome waiter walking towards our table. When he stopped, he looked all around our table glancing at each one of us, and then came across Kat. He couldn't keep his eyes off her for ore than two minutes. He then began talking, "What can I get you ladies to drink this afternoon? It seems to be a special day for one of you, so Happy Birthday". To which I replied, "How'd you know?". My comment made himself and the girls laugh. So I started off with what I wanted, then Sky, then Vera. When he got to Kat in a shy, cute nervous voice he asked her what she wanted. Kat told him what she wanted, and he walked away. When he walked away we began to tell Kat how it seems he likes her, she was in denial for a little while, until he came back. Our waiter came back with our drinks, when he handed Kat he drink, she told him, "Thank you...". She waited for him to tell her his name, but he didn't get the hint quickly enough. So I asked, "What's your name?" "Justin is my name" and Kat said again, "Thank you Justin". When she thanked him, he told her," You're welcome...". "My name is Kat". Justin then explained how pretty she looked. Then asked each one of us what we wanted to eat, and then left. Once he left Kat began laughing about how this might actually be the moment where she meets her potential partner. When Justin came back, he had our food on a tray in his hands, and handed us our plates. We sat at our table for a good hour and a half, and ate our food slowly. We loved the scenery that surrounded the restaurant within, so we sat and enjoyed it, as well as each others' company. While were eating, Justin came around our table at least twice just to look at Kat, and of course Kat was staring at him as well. When we finished eating, Justin brought over the check and said, "Hope you guys enjoyed your stay here today" and handed the check to Sky. When Sky opened it she gasped and said, "No way?! This guy has got some serious balls". We were all confused so we all leaned over and saw that Justin wrote his number and a little note on check. The note read, "For Kat: I hope I didn't read this wrong, but I really like you and I hope we could get a coffee sometime. I left my number, so call me?" Kat took the check and saved his number into her phone, and then looked at Justin and their eyes met in the center of the restaurant.Then Sky asked Kat,"Are you paying, No? Didn't think so, give me the check". Vera and I then laughed to Sky's comment, and Kat was too busy focusing on Justin. As soon as Sky left the money in the check, we all got up and headed for the door. While Sky, Vera and myself were making our way towards the door, Kat headed to Justin and gave him her number. Justin smiled as Kat walked away, and Kat had the exact same smile on her face as she walked towards us.When Kat met up with us, we began congratulating her on having the courage to give her number to a stranger. We all then walked out, and began walking around. The Silver Status was surround with many shops and other restaurants, but as we turned the corner of the restaurant, we saw little carnival.
